Premam review :
The Telugu version of Malayalam blockbuster film ‘Premam’ has hit the screens today. ‘Premam’ (Telugu) has been the talk of the town because the original version of the film stole many hearts. The original version of the film was marked as one of the cult romantic entertainers. By the glimpse of the Telugu version trailer , people who watched the Malayalam Premam were left with mixed feelings. But majority of the Telugu movie viewers lauded the trailer. Amid different opinions and high expectations, the film has hit the screens today .. lets how the film is…
The Story is so simple. It is similar to the story of “Na Autograph”. Its a journey of a man’s love throughout his life. Vikram (Naga chaitanya) falls in love with Suma (Anupama Parameshwaran) when he was in last stage of his schooling, In college, he falls in love with Sithara (Shruti Haasan), who is a lecturer in his college. After settling in his career, he falls in love with Sindhu (Madonna). What will happen next..forms rest of the story..
As it was mentioned before, The Story of the film is so simple. But the treatment it was given is natural and entertaining which will connect well with the audience. Characterizations are main strength of the film. The Film has strong characters which will stay in your minds even after you leave the theaters. The First half of the film is so entertaining and has feel good moments. Chandu Mondeti copied the original version as it as at mandatory parts. But he made slight changes to suit Telugu audience. Second half has some engaging moments but the climax could’ve been better. When we talk about the artsist performances, We can say Naga Chaitanya has improved a lot. When it comes to performance factor, This is Naga Chaitanya’s career best. Anupama Parameshwaran looks cute and she is perfectly apt as a high school student. Its wrong to compare Sai Pallavi with Shruti Haasan. Shruti gave her best for the role. Madonna Sebastian is just ‘ok’ . Srinivas Reddy , Bramhaji and Praveen provided good comedy.
- Plus points: Feel Good love scenes, Comedy, Natural characterizations and treatment
- Minus Points: Predictable ending
Verdict: Premam is a feel good love story which will connect well with the Youth. It is a faithful remake, which lives up to the expectations. The Film will have a good run at A centers.
